"EMD MODEL F3 OPERATING MANUAL" is the ORIGINAL official Electro Motive Division of General Motors operating manual for the Model F3 diesel locomotive and is the bible for locomotive engineers of this model diesel locomotive. Everything is here! Controls, brakes, instrument panel, switches, sanding valves, starting procedures, handling and operation, problems, oil system, cooling system, electrical system, trucks, trouble-shooting, and TONS MORE! It is heavily illustrated with photographs and numerous fold-out color diagrams of various systems and electrical wiring. The F3 was produced  between July 1945 and February 1949. Final assembly was in La Grange, Illinois. A total of 1111 cab-equipped lead A units and 696 cabless B units were built.
