    Description

1840's-1870's Civil War Reenactors Civilian Wheel or Clerks Cap Wool
This auction is for one 1840's-1870's civilian style 'wheel' of 'clerks' cap made of tan wool, lined in off-white cotton fabric, and has a leather sweatband. It is constructed using a mix of machine and hand work. Having a bill made of tan wool would make it perfect for a juvenile or person from the working class. This cap would be great for reenacting or used for a costume piece. It measures about 23". Because of the style, it would fit and look good on someone a little smaller. My head measures 22-1/4" and it looks okay on me. See pics for further details as they are part of the description.
