1914 ZEPPELIN AT WAR AGAINST FRANCE BRONZE MEDAL POISON GAS? S-390

Description

From my airship collection I offer this 33.7mm original 1914 zeppelin at war bronze medal. Listed by Kaiser as his #406. It shows a German zeppelin on a war raid against a city in France. The obverse has the usual likeness of Graf Zeppelin legend around. The highly detailed reverse legend translated reads OUR ZEPPELIN IN ACTION IN THE CAMPAIGN 1914. It has a zeppelin spewing smoke from both sides (hope it is not poison gas). Some bomb hits on the city below one seems to be on a fort indicating the medalist was trying to show it was a military target and not civilians.. Uncirculated  grade and scarce world war one German zeppelin medal. See the scans.
