This is a Great Lot of 2 Vintage WWII Women’s Patriotic Homefront Hand Fan Premiums by Old Spice aftershave. The duplicate fans each measure 7” long, and have 4 blades, with 7 panels on each side. One side says along the bottom “Compliments of Early American Old Spice / Shulton Ind.” The reverse side says “Compliments of Early American Friendship Garden / Shulton Ind.” The title says “We are the Women of America”, with supporting quotes & illustrations that say; By Holding Our Tongues; By Guarding Children; By Saving Every Scrap; By Clever Cooking etc. Other quotes that appear on the panels include, “We Are Free” to…..; Listen; Assemble; Play; Raise Our Children; Worship as We Choose, etc. Some of these freedoms would be somewhat out dated for today’s modern women, but they were a sign of those War times. These Rare fan is in good condition, but both have a tear to one panel, where they were too hastily pulled open. They have only some light wear otherwise.
