Traces the beginning of railroading in Pennsylvania from the early 1800's through it's merger with other failing railroads to become Conrail in 1976. Lots of history and many photographs.
There is a birthday greeting on upper right of page facing the inside cover and a price sticker on the left inside cover. The dust jacket is in pretty good shape. The rest of the book is in very good shape.

The Story of the Rebirth of The Strasburg Rail Road. It was incorporated in 1832 as a short line in Eastern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and trains began running some years later. In 1957, the railroad was struggling and part of an estate. They wanted to abandon it. A group of individuals got together and bought it in 1958. Many photographs.
There is a price sticker on the front cover. The book is in very good shape.
