This is an offering for asingle
antique Japanese hand painted aka-Imari ceramic
sakazuki
(sake cup) dating back to the early Meiji Era (c.1870). Also known as a
Guinomi
. It has a hand painted multi color (
akaimari
) designs of a home surrounded by bamboo, pines and flowers trees. This ceramic cup was high fired for lasting durability.
Its size makes
it
the perfect sake cup for sipping your evening sake or a
very elegant way to sip your evening cordial
! Despite its age (over 150 years guaranteed) and with exception to very minor signs of use, this cup remains in
very
fine condition
with no chips, dings or hairlines. It measures 2.25" in diameter by 1.75" tall (5.5 x 4.5 cm).
