    I worked for Apple at the time of the Newton intro and purchased these items. The MessagePad was probably used for less than an hour, the charging station box has never been opened. Includes all manuals and collateral that came with the products. I just pulled it from a closet, put in batteries & replaced the backup battery. It came up just fine. This comes with the 4MB RAM card to increase the RAM from 2MB to 6MB.
    This product was introduced during John Sculley’s tenure at Apple. At the time, handwriting recognition & battery power weren’t where they needed to be, so the product was not particularly successful. However it is an important early effort at creating a Personal Digital Assistant. Now we used IPhones for everything!
