    Description

Set of 4 Japanese Satsuma earthenware teacups and saucers. Based on other tea ware sets I can identify this pattern as being called the Immortals/Elders and Dragons. Based on all the research we have done we can identify these as handmade authentic Japanese satsuma cups and saucers from the Meiji period. They were most likely made in the late 1800s. There are marks on the bottom that includes the Shimazu crest which helps identify these as authentic pieces.
One of the saucers has two chips. One of the teacups has a crack running through it. There is slight wear to the cups as should be from their age. Please see the pictures for more about the condition as they are part of the description.
