NEW!  Super bright Neon spectrum discharge tube 100mm - NEW This new discharge tube is a redevelopment of our luminescent ampoules and offers the benefits of a metal-free ampoule with a much higher luminosity than a commercial available spectrum tube.
In this tube, the excited gas  has to pass through many small capilaries and is forced to particularly strong shine. Good contact between the external electrodes around the ampoule is required. Made of high quality shock- and heat proof boro silicate glass.  The ampoule lights up so much that you are dazzled! You can easily let it glow with a tesla generator. The name is derived from the Greek ‘neos’, meaning new. A colourless, odourless gas that comprises 18 parts per million of air. Neon will not react with any other substance. It is produced from liquid air for ornamental lighting (i.e. neon signs) because it glows red when an electrical discharge is passed through it.
