Author John Kohlberg began this series on ICG in August 1972 when the merger of the Illinois Central and Gulf, Mobile & Ohio took place. The new orange paint scheme for motive power took hold quickly. This glimpse into the ICG includes motive power, freight and passenger equipment, stations, other facilities, on-line action, terminal facilities and more. This is a 128-page color hardcover.
