A Japanese classic Hasami Ware 琴峰 porcelain lattice openwork by the Kinpo Kiln 金峰窯. These lovely porcelain works of art are from the Kinpo-gama or kiln which is located in the town of Hasami of the Nagasaki prefecture, called Hasami-yaki ware.
The ‘tebineri or hand-formed open work of reticulated porcelain is finely placed. The two layers created by the hand formed and rolled pieces that create the reticulated open work is called ‘sukashi’ in Japanese.
The white porcelain is fine, the center is hand painted in an underglaze gold lotus flower design, the upper rim a combined floral motif. These 2 pieces date back to 1926-1989 and is underglaze signed on the bottom with the name of the Kinpo Kiln. 2 fine Japanese openwork porcelain masterpieces
