THIS is the tenth year of Model Railroad Equipment Corp. and it is naturally gratifying to us that in that period we have become recognized as the outstanding institution of its kind in the world. We feel that your continued patronage has given us encouragement to keep growing with the widest variety of model railroad material now available.
We are specialists in model railroading. We have no side lines. We know precisely what you want when you ask for a knuckle rod rivet or a draw bar bracket and we will not offer you a sawed off pistol with a cockeyed barrel when you require a short eccentric rod. The men behind our counters are cranks in their exactness to serve you with your precise needs and if necessary to help you determine what those needs might be when you are faced with a technical problem beyond your immediate knowledge.
Since the advent of our last catalog, we have settled in our new air-conditioned home, one door removed from our former quarters in midtown New York. If you have not had the opportunity before to visit with us, you are cordially invited to do so on your next trip to New York. We feel certain that our display of kits, constructed models and accessories for model railroading will make your visit most entertaining.
To those who are interested in procuring ready-to-run equipment, we have an able staff of workmen capable of executing your most exacting requirements. Over a period of many years we have built models for the country's leading railroads, including the New York Central, Baltimore & Ohio, Erie, Chesapeake & Ohio, Pennsylvania, Monon Route and others.
This Manual And Catalog Of All Gauges is our sincere effort to provide you with the first complete picture of all the material available in the accepted gauges. We know the information will further your enjoyment of this most pleasant of all hobbies. Of the thousands of items listed herein, we carry the items which we consider well made and priced fairly.
In conclusion, we once again invite you to visit with us. You will find that not only is model railroading fun, but that it is fun to do business with Model Railroad.
