    Description

    Nickel Plate Road
Two books, in fine condition: Passenger Car Equipment Diagrams (Revised to 1950) and Freight Car Diagrams (Revised to 1962 including all post-war equipment).
These are the TLC Publishing reprint in fine condition and are difficult to find together. The covers are brighter yellow than pictures show. Light bumps near the staples, and just the lightest rubbing on some edges. All pages are clean and bright. Back covers are clean and intact with slight fading near the stapled end. Both books are softcover, over-sized 7 x 14. Passenger Car is 54 pages, Freight Car is well over 100.
"This book uses diagram sheets prepared to the Advisory Mechanical Committee standards used by the Van Sweringen railroads (NKP, C&O, PM, Erie)."
Dimensional drawings show elevations and ends. Invaluable reference work for the NKP modeler or historian.
    The Passenger Car Diagrams:
Show business cars, diners, coaches, roomettes, combines, baggage, baggage/express, baggage/mail, auto baggage/express, mail/express, dormitory cars and a dynamometer car.
    The Freight Car Diagrams:
Show box cars, stock cars, coke cars, cabooses and riders, gondolas, flat cars, containers, hoppers, dry bulk, highway trailers and flat cars equipped for hauling highway trailers.
These books are from the local estate of a former railroader (PRR out of Fort Wayne), professional photographer, and eclectic collector. His stuff was neat, clean, and well cared-for. There was no evidence of smoking or pets in the home.We are proud to offer items from his collection.
