    Description

Tailor-made 19th Century Bib Shirt, Size L or XL, Made for Use on Movie Set.
New old stock, this cotton shirt was professionally made about 20 years ago in eastern Oklahoma to be used on the set of a film about the Trail of Tears. . I don't believe it was ever actually used in filming, but a friend of mine who was working on the set ended up with it. He then gave it to me, because it would never have fit him. It's actually a PULLOVER shirt with a button closure down the front half-way, so it is easy to get in and out of. Then, a 19th century-style bib is buttoned on the front, over the closure buttons. The shirt-tail is not cut straight across, but rather has a bit of a drop on the front and back, so it looks great untucked as well.
The material is very sturdy, like mattress ticking (in fact, I'm quite certain it IS made of mattress ticking) and the buttons are all matching metal.
It has a small pocket, interestingly, under the left arm, on the far left torso, which always seemed odd to me, but it actually is very easy to reach. The most I think this shirt has ever been worn is for the pics in this listing.
