    Description

    I just had the good fortune, to meet up with a guy that used to work for Penn reels here in Heggins, PA. He worked there for many years until they closed in 2005 and moved their operation overseas,,,yech. Anyhow, he had lots of goodies, which I will be listing over the next couple weeks.
    This is a Penn 8500SS black and gold skirted spool spinning reel. It is unused. It is near mint. It has never been on a rod. This is as good as they come. It comes in a new, Penn box which I just assembled for this. The box is actually for a 6500ss, but the guy told me they would use the same box for all the larger reels, and just slap a decal over the model # if they ran out of the correct box. This is a beauty.
