  • Year: 1901
  • Condition: I would say this book is in pretty good condition for the age. The pages of the book are in very nice condition, though they are toned as you would expect. The cover does show a little wear and there is some writing on the first few pages of the book along with a small date stamp. The first page has come loose from the binding and the last page is partly coming loose also. The binding feels a little loose but not too bad. The wear on the cover is mostly is some minor wear or damage to the cloth on the spine which is visible in the photos if you look close.

    Description

The Block System of Signaling on American Railroads, 1901. By Braman B. Adams. Published by The Railroad Gazette. This book was determined by scholars to be culturally important, and part of the knowledge base of civilization. It has been re-printed in recent years. I was unable to find a single example of this original 1901 version anywhere online either offered for sale or sold in the last year. This volume comes with 4 inserts that fold out which are visible in the photos. Interestingly, there is a small portion of the back of the book dedicated to a number of advertisements, one page is shown in the photos.  I'm not a book dealer but in layman's terms I would say this book is in pretty good condition for the age.
