    At one time the Reading Company maintained a first-class high-speed railroad between Camden, New Jersey and Atlantic City, New Jersey. The company also operated branch lines to all of the southern New Jersey resorts as well as branch lines to farming communities. This extensive well-run railroad was known as the Atlantic City Railroad.
    This book covers the history of this property from the beginning to modern times including joint ownership with the Pennsylvania Railroad as the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines.
