    Description

"Trails Among the Columbine - 1987" is a collection of three pictorial essays on the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Fourth Division (aka San Juan Extension) edited by Steven Meyers.  Ron Ruhoff reveals the back roads to the Cumbres & Toltec while Bob LeMassena displays the Fourth Division in its glory years and John Coker shows the Cumbres & Toltec as it is now (1987).  Sundance published this 160-page, quarto-sized hardcover in 1987 as the third volume in this series.  Using lots of color and b/w photos, the authors take the reader from the past towards the future of this line.  This copy is numbered 541 of 2,000.   This copy is in like-new condition with no damages - no jammed corners, no dog-eared pages and no markings.  The usual Sundance plastic dust jacket is also in like-new  condition with no damages.   There is a previous owner's sticker attached to the front flyleaf.  The photos are of this very book.  This book will be packed and shipped in our bulletproof manner. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad for their restoration and maintenance projects.
