Description

This Civil War reproduction Union Marine frock coat will be new, made by Milk Creek Mercantile Co. This will be a made to order jacket. It is made of navy blue 20 oz. wool. This single- breasted garment has seven large Marine (Waterbury) buttons on the front and one button on each hip. The coat has a standup collar, somewhat shorter than the full-dress coat, with a scarlet welt inserted into the seam where the collar joins the coat. The cuffs of this coat are two and a half inches deep and has two buttons. The skirt of the enlisted undress frock coat has no pockets and extend from the top of the hip to halfway between the top of the hip and the bend of the knee. It is lined to the waist with a blue cotton. Since this is a made to order jacket, it will be delivered within 4 weeks after the auction ends and the sizing information and payment has been received.
Once the auction ends, buyer will need to supply chest size and sleeve length. This will be a satisfaction guaranteed made to order jacket. Chest sizes available are 36 to 56.
