    Offered is a sterling silver pendant. It is exquisitely embellished with eagle US Army crest under a glass dome on a sterling silver base. WWII era. Purchased from an estate sale. It is marked sterling on the back. It is currently on a ribbon, which needs to be replaced by a chain or new ribbon. Sweetheart jewelry was a tradition especially during the world wars for young servicemen to send military insignia to be worn by their girlfriends and wives back home.
