Vintage Garcia Mitchell Model 524 Reel w/Orig Box & Papers-D.Roberts

Description

This is a listing for a Garcia Mitchell 524 rear-stem spinning reel with original box and papers made in France.  The reel's serial number is 009301.   The reel seems to be in excellent condition with unnoticeable wear.  Apparently, the box has wear and tear. View photos closely to determine condition.
In 1972/73 it was sold as either a rod/reel combo or by itself and only in the US and Europe.  GM made a special rod to fit this model.  It is the same reel as the 324 except for the foot design and label. The 324 & 524 were GM's economy class products.
