Vintage Rubber Goodyear Zeppelin 'AKRON' Duralumin Airship Dock & Paper Article

Original Goodyear Zeppelin Duralumin Airship Dock Collectible. Claimed to have been produced in the 1930's in recognition of the Goodyear Zeppelin U.S.S. Akron, an airship built for the Navy that was in service in the early 1930's. Purchased in Akron, Ohio at the estate sale of a former Goodyear employee. Measures about 7" long, 2-1/2" wide and 2-3/8" high. Made of rubber. Weighs about 1 pound 1 ounce. Also included is a March 7, 2021 newspaper article "AKRON Airdock filled with many memorable moments" from Akron Beacon Journal. This airdock is still being used for building airships and will build ones with electric motors soon. See pictures of the actual item.
