I actually use these myself deer hunting.  I place a few drops of doe/deer urine on the wick...and close it up.  Place it in my pocket and walk to my stand.  When I place it on a limb...I unscrew the top and the wick drops out.  After the hunt...I close it up and bring it inside.  Keeping the liquid in the plastic container prevents leakage onto your clothes.  As the season goes on...it takes less & less drops each day to freshen up the wick
