    Description

    World War Two Republic Aviation wing pin, still on the original L.G. Balfour card. Die struck in sterling silver and enameled in blue. 1 inch across in size.  Maker marked on the reverse side with the Balfour "B" in the blockhouse logo, also marked "STERLING".  Screw back with a threaded keeper - This threaded keeper is marked "L.G. BALFOUR CO.".   Republic made the famous P-47 Fighter Aircraft. A nice wartime Aircraft manufactures aviation pin / badge for the P47 collector.
