    Description

Offered here is this original, WWII era, 2" diameter metal and celluloid pinback photo identification badge for an employee of the George W. Luft Company of Long Island City, New York.  The Luft Company was a cosmetics manufacturer who, during the war years, made surgical dressings and supplies as part of the nationwide war effort.  The badge is in excellent condition showing little wear and no damage. The photo is clear and the clear protective perspex has not yellowed. There is a clasp at the top for attaching the badge to a pocket flap. The patent number on the clasp was issued in 1940. The leather holder is still pliable and in nice shape.   Offered with no hidden reserve and a low starting bid.  Buyer to pay First Class post and insurance. (3.75) Combined post on multiple purchases.  Three-day inspection/ return on all items I offer if not as described.  US shipping only.   Thanks.
