    Offered here is this scarce, original, WWII ,  1 3/4" celluloid pinback badge for an INSPECTOR at the New York Navy Yard in Brooklyn, NY. The Brooklyn Navy Yard played an important role in WWII.  Famous ships built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard include the battleships Arizona, North Carolina, Iowa, and Missouri as well as the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt. Over 5000 US ships were repaired there during the war. The badge is in low excellent condition. The face shows no scratches, chips or discoloration to the celluloid.  The back shows surface rust to the steel back and pin.
